Rakul Preet, who is part of Indian 2, resumed shooting for the upcoming vigilante action film in Chennai.

Refuting rumours that Rakul could not allocate dates for the Kamal Haasan-starrer owing to her other commitments, a source close to the actor says, "A crucial sequence featuring Siddharth, Jagan, Rishi, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Rakul is currently being shot in Sriperumbudur. This schedule will go on until October 7, and Kamal will join the sets in a day or two." The sources adds, "The film shows Rakul as Siddharth's girlfriend and she is excited to be back on the sets."

Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 is a sequel to his 1996 film of the same name, and it follows the life of an Octogenarian vigilante, Senapathi, who fights against corruption. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal in a crucial role, and she will start shooting for her portions in November.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Indian 2 is being shot in Tamil and will be dubbed into Telugu and Hindi.
