Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 to go on floors on August 19

We had recently reported that Rakul Preet has been roped to play one of the female leads in director Shankar's vigilante action-thriller, Indian 2. She will be paired opposite Siddharth, who plays Kamal Haasan's grandson in the film produced by Lyca Productions. 

Now, we hear that the film is all set to go on floors on August 19. It's also being said that the locations have been chosen at Rajamundhry in Andhra for the first schedule of the shoot, and the dates of the various actors and the technicians have been blocked, apparently.

Kamal Haasan also would have completed his hosting duties for the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil by then and will be ready to don the Senapathy getup again.

The makers have reportedly also roped in Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal for the antagonist role, and Aishwarya Rajessh and Priya Bhavani Shankar to play crucial roles in the film.

A sequel to Shankar's 1996 film of the same name, the film follows the life of an octogenarian vigilante Senapathi, who rises to fight against corruption. A trilingual in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, Indian 2 also features Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead.
