Jersey gives us life lessons, says Venkatesh
The actor was the chief guest at the pre-release event of the Nani-Shraddha Srinath-starrer
Actors Venkatesh and Nani brought the house down at the pre-release event of the latter’s upcoming sports drama, Jersey. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film, also featuring Shraddha Srinath and Sathyaraj, is slated for release this Friday.
Speaking at the event, Venkatesh said he was in awe of the first look and is looking forward to the film’s release. “Many think that I’m here (as the chief guest) because I am a cricket buff. But it is not just that. I liked the film’s first look and the theatrical trailer blew my mind. Since then, I wanted to be associated with this project in some way or the other, and that’s why I’m here. The protagonist carries a never-say-die attitude and I wholeheartedly appreciate Nani for taking up such a role. Jersey’s story has blockbuster written all over it. I believe the emotional content in this film gives us life lessons,” said Venkatesh.
Nani, in turn, expressed his wish to team up with Venkatesh for a future project. “I’ve always liked Venkatesh sir’s films and everybody says I should work with him in a multi-starrer. I hope our dream turns into reality soon.”
