Vakeel Saab trailer out: Pawan Kalyan leads Anjali, Nivetha and Ananya's quest for justice

CE Features

The trailer of Pawan Kalyan-Sriram Venu's Vakeel Saab has been released. Featuring Pawan as Satyadev, an intense lawyer, the trailer hints at a remake that tries to stay true to the original, Pink, which was also remade in Tamil as Nerkonda Paarvai.

Vakeel Saab has Pawan, who last starred in Agnyathavaasi (2018), making a comeback to films after a long sabbatical. Anjali, Nivetha Thomas and Ananya Nagalla play the three women caught in a web of social stigma. The trailer has all the trappings of a riveting courtroom drama.

One of the highlights of the trailer is Pawan's dialogue that goes, "Are you a virgin? Meeraithe ammayilani adagochu...memu abbayilani adagakoodadha? (If you can ask this to women, can't we ask the same to these men?)"

Prakash Raj as public prosecutor Nanda is set to lock horns with Pawan's Satyadev, and their confrontation scenes pique our curiosity. The trailer concludes with the thunderous dialogue of Pawan Kalyan, "Ala jaragadhu...jaragakoodadhu (It won't happen...and It shouldn't happen)."

Directed by Sriram Venu, the film tells the story of three women and their fight for justice. The film also stars Shruti Haasan in a cameo, with the actor notably absent in the trailer.

Produced by Dil Raju in collaboration with Boney Kapoor, Vakeel Saab is set for release on April 9.
