Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer of Toofaan. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film stars Farhan Akhtar as a boxer in Mumbai.

Aziz (Farhan), an orphan boy from the streets of Dongri, grows up to be a local goon. His life changes when he meets Ananya (Mrunal Thakur), who guides him to take the right path. Eventually, Aziz/Ajju finds his calling in sports and is on his way to become a world-class boxer, while training under coach Nana Prabhu (Paresh Rawal). The trailer ends with Aziz, now back from a five-year sports ban, landing a knockout punch in the ring.

Toofaan is set to premiere on July 16 on Prime Video.

Lead actor and co-producer Farhan Akhtar shared, “Toofaan is a true labour of love. No matter how physically strong one is, stepping into the shoes of a boxer is a whole new ball game. It took 8 to 9 months of rigorous training for me to get into the skin character and it made me realize how physically, mentally and emotionally demanding the sport actually is."
