The much-awaited Eeswaran teaser dropped this morning. The featurette shows Simbu in a complete rural avatar after Silambattam. 

The Susienthiran-directorial seems to be a family drama which revolves around Simbu's character, a man with a heart of gold but with anger management issues. The actor's physical transformation is evident and reminds us of his Thotti Jaya days. 

Produced by D Company and presented by Madhav Media, Eeswaran has music by Thaman, while Thirunavukkarasu and Anthony handle cinematography and editing, respectively.

Nidhi Agarwal, who is set to make her debut in Tamil with the Jayam Ravi-starrer Bhoomi, has been signed to play the female lead, while veteran director Bharathiraja, Nandita Swetha, and Bala Saravanan will be seen in pivotal roles.

Eeswaran is scheduled for a Pongal release.
