The trailer for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Yaara is out. Set in 1975, the film follows a ‘chokdi gang’ of four friends doing crimes across the India-Nepal border. Set to premiere on ZEE5 on July 30, Yaara stars Vidyut Jammwal, Shruti Haasan, Amit Sadh, Vijay Varma and Sanjay Mishra in the lead roles. The film is a licensed adaptation of the French drama, A Gang Story.

“It's a story of friendship that we all experience in our lives,” Vidyut says, adding, “This Friendship Day, you will relate to one of the four characters in Yaara because the Chokdi gang will take them through a journey that we all can relate to.”

Shruti’s last Hindi appearance was in Behen Hogi Teri (2017). She had also featured in the short film Devi (2020). Speaking about Yaara, the actor shares, “It is a unique passionate story spanned across years and has the right amount of intensity. I am the only woman in the narrative of four boys and my character plays a pivotal part in the plot twist.”
