Dil Bechara trailer out: Sushant Singh Rajput smiles on in his final film

The trailer for Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film, Dil Bechara, is out. Directed by Mukesh Chhabra, the film is a remake of the 2014 Hollywood film, The Fault in Our Stars, based on John Green’s novel of the same name. The Hindi apadation also stars newcomer Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan.

Sushant died by suicide at his Mumbai home on July 14. He was 34. The posthumous release will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24.

The trailer follows Kizie Basu (Sanjana), a teen with cancer who meets and falls in love with Mannie (Sushant). When Kizie’s health deteriorates, Mannie, who had a brush with osteosarcoma, decides to fulfill her dream of visiting Paris. We accompany the couple on an emotional journey as they smile through the odds and seek a perfect ending to their story. “We can't decide when we take birth or die,” Mannie says in the trailer. “But how to live… that we can decide.”

Dil Bechara is produced by Fox Star Studios. The music is composed by AR Rahman and the lyrics are by  Amitabh Bhattacharya.
