Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday are on the run in the teaser of Khaali Peeli. The film, directed by Maqbool Khan, is an ‘edgy masala entertainer’ set in Mumbai. The teaser shows Ishaan’s taxi driver escaping from cops and gangsters alike, with Ananya in the back seat. The duo seems in big trouble: there’s talk of a ‘half murder’ and a bag loaded with cash. Jaideep Ahlawat, who plays the antagonist, is missing from view.

“It's been a pleasure working with Ishaan and Ananya — two powerhouses who have given fantastic performances,” Maqbool said. “Khaali Peeli is a young, edgy, mad roller-coaster ride that I hope the audiences will enjoy thoroughly.”

Producer Ali Abbas Zafar added, “Khaali Peeli is a complete desi entertainer. Ishaan, Ananya's energetic chemistry and Jaideep's credibility makes this ride cooler and edgier.”

Khaali Peeli is co-produced by AAZ Films, Offside Entertainment and ZEE Studios. The film resumed its last leg of shooting post the lockdown last week.
