A bull's cries pierce through the night. The creature, meant for slaughter, unexpectedly goes on the run. Panic and chaos ensue. Assurance is made to capture and butcher it before daybreak. An army of villagers is gathered for the 'mission'.

This is what the two-min footage of Lijo Jose Pellissery's Jallikattu shows. It's not much but gives a sense of what to expect from the maverick filmmaker's latest outing, which is expected to be another genre-defining work as his earlier works. The raw and frenetic camera work of cinematographer Gireesh Gangadharan (Angamaly Diaries) also makes a return.

Jallikattu, starring Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sabumon Abdusamad, and Shanti Balachandran, will release in theatres on October 4.
