Congratulations, it’s a…. mixup. The trailer of Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Good Newwz was released today. Directed by Raj Mehta, the comedy-drama follows two couples who opt for in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and end up having their sperms switched.

Akshay and Kareena team up as the well-heeled (and sex-crazed) Mr and Mrs Batra. At a fertility clinic, they bump into the brightly-coloured pairing of Diljith Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, also named Mr and Mrs Batra. 

When a doctor (Adil Hussain) apprises them of the situation — both wives have been impregnated with opposite sperm — the Batras flip out. Unwilling to abort, they adopt each other’s lifestyles and struggle to come to terms with the situation. Director Raj Mehta milks their predicament to work in fart jokes, surgical strike jokes, and ‘spam’-and-egg jokes. Well, what else to expect when Bollywood’s expecting? 

Good Newwz is produced by Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films. The film is scheduled for release on December 27.
