The trailer of PM Narendra Modi was launched in Mumbai on Wednesday. The political biopic stars Vivek Anand Oberoi in the role of Narendra Damodardas Modi, the incumbent Prime Minister of India. In the trailer, we catch glimpses of Modi’s journey from a young tea-seller in Gujarat to his rise as the Chief Minister of the State, followed by his foray into national politics.

Modi’s early years in the RSS, his spiritual travels across Northern India, the Indira Gandhi-led Emergency crackdowns, the Indian Parliament attack of 2001, the Gujarat riots, the Kashmir conflict, and the India-Pakistan standoff are some of the flashpoints in the trailer, alongside Modi’s personal life and his relationship with his mother. Veteran actor Manoj Joshi is seen in the role of BJP president Amit Shah, while Boman Irani appears as industrialist Ratan Tata.

Director Omung Kumar shared, "While shooting the film, each day we realised and experienced the amount of love this man has from the people. This was once in a lifetime experience for me."

Vivek, who arrived at the launch dressed as Modi, added, "This film has been the most exciting yet difficult journey for me. Playing the part of the serving Prime Minister of our country is a challenge in itself."

PM Narendra Modi is co-produced by Sandip Ssingh, Suresh Oberoi and Anand Pandit. The film is scheduled to release on April 5.
