On the occasion of Dulquer Salmaan's birthday, the makers of his long-awaited romantic comedy Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal have released the first trailer of the Desingh Periyasamy directorial.

As always, the trailer begins with a voiceover, which emphasises on the importance of partying in the lives of two friends, played by Dulquer and television host, Rakshan. A party number here, a EDM number there, and we see Dulquer as the stereotypical playboy getting tongue-tied in front of that 'one' girl. That girl here is Pelli Choopulu-fame Ritu Varma.

In a major character development for the hero's friend in Tamil cinema, Rakshan too finds someone in Niranjani Ahathian. All is fine in the lovely little world of Dulquer-Ritu and Rakshan-Niranjani, till the entry of Gautham Vasudev Menon. Walking around sporting aviator glasses, making people break down doors, and essentially making things tough for the awesome foursome, the filmmaker-turned-actor is the highlight of the almost 100-second trailer.

The trailer ends with the promise of also being an action entertainer. Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, with music by Masala Coffee, marks Dulquer's 25th movie and the 5th Tamil film of his career.

Here's the trailer:

Deva: I’m known for Gaana, but I love my melodies

Mollywood Times actor Roshan Shanavas: I never thought people would focus so much on my character

AR Rahman: The songs of Main Vaapas Aaunga carry the silence within the story

Anurag Kashyap: For every Dhurandhar, five expensive films will bomb

Cinema Without Borders: No Man’s Land — Al Mahattah (The Station)
