The teaser of Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming production, Saand Ki Aankh, is out. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, the film stars Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu as octogenarian sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar respectively. Vineet Kumar Singh, last seen in Gold and Mukkabaaz, also plays a pivotal role in the film.

The teaser opens with a voiceover. A little girl narrates the story of her grandmothers, who emerge on screen with pistols in hand. We cut back to a scene of armed men posing before a camera, with young Chandro and Prakashi standing in their mist. There are flashes of a shootout, with women getting shot and a medal hitting the floor. In the present, the gun-toting grannies are seen perfecting their skills, with Doctor (Vineet) assisting them. The teaser also stops to translate the title — which means bull’s eye.

Saand Ki Aankh was shot across Uttar Pradesh. The film is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar. Filmmaker Prakash Jha plays the antagonist in the film. The sports drama hits screens on October 25, during Diwali.
