The title track of The Gandhi Murder, an upcoming conspiracy thriller film based on the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, was unveiled on Tuesday.

Titled Main Na Hindu Na Musalman, the song has been composed by Prashant Pillai and crooned by Rabbie Shergill, with lyrics from Shahid Kabir. The Gandhi Murder is co-directed by Karim Traïdia and Pankaj Sehgal. Produced by Dubai-based production house Nugen Media, the film is purportedly based on “true events that led to the eventual assassination of Mahatma Gandhi”. The star cast includes late Indian actor Om Puri, Stephen Lang, Luke Pasqualino, Vinnie Jones, and Joseph K. Bevilacqua.  

The film is scheduled to release on January 30, on occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 71st death anniversary.
