Todd Phillips’ Joker trailer is here

CE Features

Warner Bros. have released the final trailer for Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix. The latest take on the character shows Phoenix’s portrayal of Arthur Fleck as a struggling comedian in Gotham City in the year 1981.

After Fleck becomes depressed and frustrated due to his professional and personal letdowns, he breaks before becoming the mad, made-up villain who seems to head into some very dark territory. The trailer also shows a talk show host (played by Robert De Niro) mocking Fleck, which then serves as a contributing factor for his transformation into the supervillain.

Todd Phillips’ Joker also stars Zazie Beetz, Marc Maron, Shea Whigham, Frances Conroy, Bill Camp, Brian Tyree Henry, and Glenn Fleshler.

The film is scheduled for release on October 4.
