ABCD trailer promises major laughs

CE Features

The trailer of Allu Sirish's ABCD (American Born Confused Desi), a remake of the Malayalam film of the same name that featured Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, was released by director Trivikram Srinivas yesterday.

Directed by debutant Sanjeev Reddy, the film charts the story of Avi, a US-born cash-rich and spendthrift millennial, who lands in India only to realise that he fell into a trap along with his cousin, Bharat, and they have to make a living out of the meagre pocket money they get from home after their bank accounts were blocked by the former’s father.

The duo are forced to lead a middle-class life and they learn to be responsible in life. The trailer also introduces us to the leading lady, Rukshar Dhillon. The two-minute video promises a light-hearted entertainer loaded with romance, comedy and political conflict.

Produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Yash Rangineni, ABCD, which has music by Judah Sandhy, is slated for release on May 17
