Shruti Haasan has released her new original track titled Edge, which is part of her EP which she plans to release next year. The song is written, composed and performed by Shruti while Siddhi Patel handled the direction and editing of the video.

The actor-singer, who has been balancing between her career in music and films, earlier noted that music has been her sanity. The video was captioned - "The understating of destructive love within oneself and with others. A destruction that leads to strength and rebuilding. Un afraid to leave the empty spaces as they are - the edge is where we find ourselves."

On the film front, Shruti was most recently seen in Yaara, also starring Vidyut Jammwal. She is also part of an upcoming film with Vijay Sethupathi titled Laabam and Ravi Teja's Krack.
