The makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule released their first single, 'Pushpa Pushpa', on Wednesday. Pushpa 2: The Rule is the official sequel to the 2021 action-drama Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun.

Sung by Nakash Aziz and Deepak Blue, ‘Pushpa Pushpa’ is an energetic number that works as a stylish intro song for the film’s protagonist, Pushpa (Allu Arjun). The song is laced with a repeated chant of the protagonist’s name, which creates a strong, hypnotic effect.  Devi Sri Prasad has composed the energetic number, and Chandrabose has penned the lyrics. 

Besides Allu Arjun, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Fahaadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, who reprise their roles from the 2021 film. Sukumar, who had also directed Pushpa: The Rise, is the writer-director for the sequel as well. The cinematography is by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, and the editing is by Karthika Srinivas and Ruben.

Jointly Produced by Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set for a theatrical release on August 15.
