 Ustaad trailer out

CE Features

The official trailer for Ustaad was unveiled on Wednesday. The film, written and directed by debutant Phanideep, stars Sri Simha Koduri and Kavya Kalyanram as its male and female lead respectively. Anu Hassan, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Ravindra Vijay, Venkatesh Maha, Sai Kiran Yedida and Ravi Siva Teja form the supporting cast of the film. Ustaad, not to be confused with the Pawan Kalyan film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, is all set to hit theatres on August 12.

The trailer tells us about our protagonist who hails from a humble background and goes on to be a pilot. He is shown having a special affinity for bikes and planes. His relationship with these vehicles define the coming of age arc of the film. Kavya plays his ladylove, while Anu Hasan plays the role of his mother. While Venkatesh Maha is seen in the portions where our protagonist is a kid, presumably as a father or a father figure, GVM is seen playing a senior pilot who appears in the latter parts the protagonist's life. Ravi Siva Teja is the hero's friend, while Ravindra Vijay is his beloved bike's mechanic.

Ustaad is produced by Varahi Chalana Chitram. Pavan Kumar Puppala is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Carthic Cuts and production design by Aravind Mule. Sri Simha Koduri was last seen in the Praneeth Brahmandapally film Bhaag Saale, while Kavya was a part of the critically acclaimed films Balagam and Masooda
