The trailer of Ammu, the upcoming Telugu film starring Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead role, was released by the makers on social media on Tuesday. 

The film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 19.

Ammu is said to revolve around the titular character played by Aishwarya, who tries with all her mighty to get her abusive husband-cop suspended from his duty.  

The upcoming film is directed by Charukesh Sekar and bankrolled by filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench banner. Aside Aishwarya, the film also features Bobby Simha, Naveen Chandra, among others.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Lekshmi who was recently seen in Ponniyin Selvan (PS-1), has Gatta Kusthi in Telugu, Kumari in Malayalam which will release on October 28.
