Allu Arjun’s last film was Pushpa 2: The Rule, which was released in December 2024. He is now working on another high-budget film, Raaka. Tamil director Atlee is directing the film, while the big production house Sun Pictures is producing it under the banner of Kalanithi Maran. The shooting is currently underway, and the film is scheduled for release in 2027.

The film requires extensive technical work, with Atlee having created a massive set in Mumbai for the shoot. Deepika Padukone is playing a key role in the film, while the makers have not officially announced any other cast members apart from Allu Arjun and Deepika.

Now, Raaka has entered the Guinness World Records after achieving a landmark feat in cinematic technology under the category of “Most People Motion-Captured in Real-Time.” The record was achieved by simultaneously capturing 37 performers in real time, marking a significant technological milestone for Indian cinema.

The record was achieved in February 2026 and was officially certified on September 15, 2026. The Guinness World Records certificate was presented to lead actor Allu Arjun and director Atlee by Swapnil Dangrikar, Senior Adjudicator, Guinness World Records, at an intimate ceremony attended by key members of the film’s cast and crew.

As part of the landmark motion-capture exercise created for the film, 37 performers, ranging from a four-year-old child to a 70-year-old, were captured simultaneously in real time during a single session. The challenge involved accurately capturing and preserving the integrity of all 37 individual performances within a single capture volume.

To execute this feat, the film’s VFX producer developed a new motion-capture pipeline and workflow tailored to Raaka’s scale and technical requirements. For the Guinness World Records attempt, 92 optical motion-capture cameras were deployed as part of an advanced technical setup.
