There have been several speculations about the release date of Chiranjeevi-starrer Kaaka. Produced by K Venkata Narayana under KVN Productions and directed by Bobby Kolli, the makers had earlier announced that the film would hit the screens on January 13, 2027, during the Sankranthi festival. However, several reports and speculations have emerged since then.
The speculation started after reports suggested that Chiranjeevi’s other film Vishwambhara could also arrive during the same Sankranthi season. As it would be difficult for two films featuring the same actor to release around the same time, many speculated that Chiranjeevi might postpone Kaaka to another date to make way for Vishwambhara.
The speculation went viral on social media and was also discussed in some sections of the media. To put an end to these rumours, the makers of Kaaka have once again reiterated that the film will arrive as announced earlier. They made it clear that there is no change in the release date of Kaaka.
The makers also announced that they will soon unveil the first single from the film. “Putting all the speculation to rest, #KAAKA is releasing for Sankranthi 2027. Our much anticipated film with Megastar @KChiruTweets Garu and @DirBobby will arrive in cinemas worldwide on JANUARY 13, 2027. First Single Soon,” said the production house in a social media post.
Director Bobby Kolli also responded to the post, confirming that there is no delay in the release. “No doubts, no delays. We’re coming to make this Sankranthi ours - January 13, 2027,” said the director.
Interestingly, there has been considerable discussion around Vishwambhara, including comments from its director Mallidi Vassishta, while Chiranjeevi has not made any recent announcement regarding the film’s release. The film was supposed to arrive earlier but was postponed indefinitely, and there has been no official clarity on its new release date.
According to reports, the film’s graphics and VFX work have been one of the reasons for the delay, with the team working on improving the visual effects. There are now reports that the work has progressed and that the film is being prepared for release.
However, there is still no official word from Chiranjeevi regarding the release date of Vishwambhara. For now, the makers of Kaaka have made their position clear: the film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on January 13, 2027, for Sankranthi.
