A few days ago, the makers of Vishwak Sen-starrer Legacy announced the release date and unveiled a new poster introducing female lead Ekta Rathod. The film marks her Telugu acting debut and is touted to be a political action drama. Legacy is set to hit the screens on December 4.

The film marks the acting debut of Ekta Rathod, who hails from Bengaluru. She will be seen as the female lead opposite Vishwak Sen in this intense drama. Her fresh pairing with Vishwak Sen has already created a buzz following the release of the poster.

“This is a very special moment for me. As a girl from Bengaluru who came with nothing but dreams of being on the big screen, to debut with a film like Legacy feels surreal. When I first heard the story from Saikiran sir, I knew this was not just a launch, it was a responsibility.

“Working opposite Vishwak Sen sir has been an absolute masterclass. He is so passionate, so energetic, and he made me feel so comfortable on my first-ever set. I have learned so much just by watching him perform,” said Ekta Rathod about her debut.

She further added that the film is an intense political drama filled with love. “I am so thankful to my director Saikiran Reddy Daida and producers Yeshwanth Daggumati and Kalaahi Media for believing in a newcomer like me and giving me this huge platform. Legacy is an intense political drama filled with love, power and emotions, and my character has so much depth,” said Ekta.

Written and directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida of Pindam fame, Legacy is set against a powerful political backdrop and explores themes of power, family, love and betrayal. Vishwak Sen plays a man who is pulled into a dangerous world shaped by his father’s legacy.

The film is the second production venture of Kalaahi Media and is produced by Yeshwanth Daggumati and Saikiran Reddy Daida, with Sanjay Sambrani and VVN Prasad as co-producers.

The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including acclaimed actor Kay Kay Menon as the antagonist, along with Rao Ramesh, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Mohan, Raja Ravindra and others.
