Actor Vishwak Sen is looking for a commercial success, and his upcoming film Legacy is a different outing for him. The young actor is starring in this intense political drama, directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida, and the shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. Now, the makers have announced that they are planning to release the film in December.
Interestingly, Hindi actor Kay Kay Menon is playing the antagonist in this political drama. The film is produced by Yeshwanth Daggumati and Saikiran Reddy Daida on their Kalaahi Media banner. The makers have now announced that the film has entered its final stage of production and that a month-long schedule is set to begin in Madanapalle, which will be the final schedule.
The film generated considerable curiosity with its announcement teaser, which was released earlier this year. Legacy marks the second production venture from Kalaahi Media, following the critically acclaimed Pindam, which was also directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida.
Set against a powerful political backdrop, the film explores the collision of power, family, love and betrayal. The story follows a reluctant heir who is drawn into a dangerous world he never wanted to enter. As buried truths emerge and ruthless enemies close in, he is forced to confront the enormous weight of his father’s legacy.
Vishwak Sen will be seen in a striking new avatar, with the promotional material hinting at an intense and layered performance. Acclaimed actor Kay Kay Menon plays a formidable antagonist, adding another dimension to the film’s dramatic conflict.
The makers have commenced a month-long shooting schedule in and around Madanapalle in Chittoor district. The principal cast will participate in the schedule, which will include crucial narrative sequences, high-intensity action episodes and songs.
The technical team includes cinematographer Jiju Sunny, music composer Govind Vasantha, editor Sirish Prasad, production designer Rajeev Nair and action choreographer Jashuva. The film’s sound design is handled by Sync Cinema, with Dolby Atmos by E Radhakrishna at Prasad Mixing Theatre.
Alongside Vishwak Sen and Kay Kay Menon, the film features an ensemble cast comprising Murali Mohan, Rao Ramesh, Sachin Khedekar, Ekta Rathod, Raja Ravindra, Rajeev Kanakala, Aneesh Kuruvilla, Khushee Ravi, Kalyani Natarajan, Collector Srinivas, Ravi Kaale, Amit Tiwari and others.
Legacy is written and directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in December.
