Sharwanand’s upcoming film Bhogi is one of the most awaited projects in his career and is also being made on a high budget. Directed by Sampath Nandi, the film is an intense period action drama. KK Radhamohan is producing the movie under his Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner, with Lakshmi Radhamohan presenting it.
The film has completed a major portion of its shoot, and the makers have now unveiled the teaser. The remaining filming is progressing simultaneously with the post-production work. The team has kick-started the promotions with this teaser, which showcases Sharwanand in a completely new, raw and rustic avatar.
The teaser opens by introducing the village of Boggula Gutta. Anupama Parameswaran’s character reveals that the Palegallu have taken away Kammari Ganga and warns of serious consequences if anything happens to him. Sharwanand appears rugged as Ganga, a deeply rooted rustic labourer.
Beyond introducing the protagonist and his love interest, the teaser opens the doors to a raw, intense, fiercely rooted and raging world. Sampath Nandi brings remarkable authenticity to the story, which is set in a fictional village on the Telangana-Maharashtra border in the early 1960s.
Sharwanand’s transformation for this rooted role is one of the major highlights of the teaser. His rugged appearance and fiery diction make Ganga a character to watch out for. Anupama Parameswaran also gets a strikingly rustic makeover, and her character appears to have considerable importance in the story. Dimple Hayathi is the other female lead, while several established actors are part of the film in key roles.
Kishor Kumar is the cinematographer, while Bheems Ceciroleo is the music director. The makers will announce the theatrical release date once the remaining shoot and post-production works reach the desired stage of completion.
Nevertheless, the Bhogi teaser has already created strong curiosity and raised expectations for this intense period action drama.
