With Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Rise of a Legend set to arrive in theatres on November 5, actor Allu Arjun has extended his wishes to the team, describing the film as more than just a cinematic venture. The actor also urged audiences to come together and support the project, which adapts one of India's most celebrated epics for the big screen.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Allu Arjun shared a note addressed to the film's team. “My best wishes to the entire #Ramayana team. It's not just a movie. It's a representation of our culture and an attempt to raise the bar of Indian films,” he wrote.
The actor further expressed his support for the makers' effort to bring Indian stories and heritage to a wider audience. “I wholeheartedly send my pure, positive wishes to the entire team for their divine attempt. Let's all unite and come forward to support a pure attempt that carries our stories, our culture and our glory. Jai Sri Ram,” he added.
Allu Arjun's message comes a day ahead of the film's scheduled worldwide theatrical release. Produced by Namit Malhotra, the two-part adaptation is directed by Tiwari, known for films such as Dangal and Chhichhore. The project has been mounted by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations.
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana, Arun Govil as King Dasharatha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh and Vivek Oberoi, among others. The film is written by Shridhar Raghavan and Tiwari.
The project has also drawn attention for its international technical collaborations. Oscar-winning composers AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer have worked on the music, while DNEG, the visual effects company associated with the production, is involved in bringing the epic's scale to the screen. The film is set for a worldwide release in IMAX and other premium formats.
The makers have planned the adaptation as a two-part cinematic venture, with the first instalment arriving on November 5, 2026, and the second part scheduled for 2028. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
