This story is more rooted and accurate than the ones I’ve told before. It is set in Mumbai and Kolkata, so the cities feel very real. I built the story around the opium and heroin trade that existed during the British era and even after they left. I’m creating a world where intense human drama unfolds. It’s a very realistic take on the 1967 period.”
