Prashanth Neel and Jr NTR’s upcoming film Dragon is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2027. The film’s glimpse, released recently on the occasion of Jr NTR’s birthday, turned into a massive success and continues to trend across platforms. Dragon is not only one of Jr NTR’s most ambitious big-budget projects but also marks his first collaboration with director Prashanth Neel.

Mounted on a grand scale with larger-than-life action and powerful storytelling, the film promises to take big-screen entertainment to the next level. The first glimpse has already created a nationwide buzz, leaving fans and audiences excited about the world of Dragon. While the glimpse offered a taste of the film’s intense atmosphere, Prashanth Neel’s vision for creating a gripping and realistic drama appears truly unique.

Speaking about the film as per a press note, Prashanth Neel said, “My childhood basically becomes my biggest emotion in my movies, and in Dragon too, it is my biggest strength. This story is more rooted and accurate than the ones I’ve told before. It is set in Mumbai and Kolkata, so the cities feel very real. I built the story around the opium and heroin trade that existed during the British era and even after they left. I’m creating a world where intense human drama unfolds. It’s a very realistic take on the 1967 period.”

Ever since its announcement, the film has generated tremendous excitement, with fans eagerly waiting for every update. With two powerhouse names like Prashanth Neel and Jr NTR coming together, Dragon is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema, and audiences are excited to witness this massive collaboration on the big screen.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Dragon stars Jr NTR in the lead role. The film is being produced under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. It will release in five languages and is slated for a grand worldwide release on June 11, 2027.
