Actor Ram Pothineni surprised everyone on his birthday by announcing that he would also be directing his next project. The film, tentatively titled RAPO23, marks Ram Pothineni's directorial debut. With this move, Ram joins the league of actor-directors like NT Rama Rao, Krishna, and Pawan Kalyan.

The project is described as a stylish psychological action thriller — a genre that is rarely explored in Telugu cinema.

#RAPO23 will be produced by Krishna Pothineni under the newly launched Rapo Cinematics banner. The makers also unveiled a striking birthday poster introducing Ram’s character, Veera. The tagline, “The Story of a Lone Wolf,” hints at a protagonist driven by solitude and a complex psychological mindset.

#RAPO23 promises to be a powerful and ambitious project, with the story conceived by Ram himself. The regular shoot is expected to begin in June, with the makers targeting a December release this year. Further details about the cast and technical crew will be announced soon.

Ram Pothineni was last seen in Andhra King Taluku, which also showcased his songwriting and vocal abilities.
