It is well known that Nandu and Avika Gor are playing the lead roles in the upcoming film Ugly Story, which is set to release on May 22. Directed by Pranav Swaroop, the film is produced by Subhashini and Konda Lakshman under the Riya Jia Productions banner. Sravan Bharadwaj has composed the music. Recently, the team met noted director VV Vinayak and showcased the trailer to him.

“I know director Pranav Swaroop. His family owns a theatre in Kakinada, and I share a close relationship with them. I am also familiar with the team of Ugly Story,” said VV Vinayak. He added that producer Bekkem Venugopal is backing the team. “He has worked with Nandu on this film, and I hope Nandu gets a good break with it,” he said. Vinayak also mentioned that Nandu’s wife, singer Geetha Madhuri, is like a family member to him.

“The title is catchy and sounds quite different. I urge everyone to support this film and make it a success,” he added.

Director Pranav Swaroop expressed his happiness over Vinayak watching the trailer and extending his wishes. Nandu and Bekkem Venugopal also thanked the senior director for his encouraging words.

Ugly Story is a psychological drama, with Nandu playing a distinct role. The trailer has generated interest, and the film is expected to offer something different. For Avika Gor as well, the film could prove to be an important step, as she looks for a strong commercial breakthrough.
