Actor Yogi Babu is all set to make his debut as a lead on an untitled Telugu film, which will also feature actor Satya in the lead. The upcoming film will be directed by Pawan Basamsetti, who made his debut as a director with Rangabali (2023). Production on the untitled project has begun.

The announcement was made on Monday, after a launch ceremony, which included the crew of the film, was conducted at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Amongst the guests attending the ceremony, were directors Kishore Tirumala, Mahesh Babu P, Sandeep Raj, and Yadu Vamsi.

Director Pawan has written the film, and is producing it under his Nayavayu banner. Nagarjuna Reddy is also backing the film under his Dream Movie Makers banner. While the details of the plot are kept under wraps, the makers describe the film as a full fledged comedy entertainer.

The crew of the upcoming film includes music composer Pawan CH, who made his debut with Sekhar Kammula's Love Story (2021) and has worked with director Pawan on Rangabali (2023). Meanwhile, Bablu Aju will handle cinematography, with Kamesh handling art direction.

Yogi Babu's recent Telugu appearance was in Couple Friendly (2025). The actor will be seen in the Suriya-starrer Karuppu, which will be released as Veera Bhadrudu in Telugu.
