The big moment is approaching for one of Telugu cinema’s most ambitious big-budget films, Peddi. Starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, the sports-action drama is directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The makers have now locked May 16 for the trailer launch, which will be held in Bhopal. A grand premiere of the film is also being planned for June 3, with the cast and crew expected to attend the trailer launch event.

Produced under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, in association with Mythri Movie Makers, and presented by Sukumar Writings, Peddi is touted as one of the biggest films in Indian cinema. It is slated for a worldwide release on June 4, 2026.

The film has generated massive buzz ever since its announcement. Alongside Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, the film features a strong supporting cast including Jagapathi Babu, Shivarajkumar, Rao Ramesh, and others in pivotal roles. Promotional material — from striking posters to impactful glimpses and chart-topping music — has consistently kept audiences intrigued.

The much-awaited trailer will be unveiled at a grand event in Bhopal on May 16. The launch is expected to be a star-studded affair, with the presence of the film’s cast and crew. Adding to the excitement, music maestro AR Rahman is likely to perform live, making it one of the most talked-about film events of the year.

According to sources, “The trailer of Peddi is expected to drop next weekend at a grand launch event in Bhopal. The event will be attended by actor Ram Charan, director Buchi Babu Sana, producer Venkata Satish Kilaru, Sukumar, and Janhvi Kapoor. AR Rahman is also expected to be present and perform live.”

Even before its release, Peddi is setting records. In North America, advance bookings reportedly crossed the $100K mark within just four hours, reflecting strong global anticipation. Adding to the buzz, filmmaker Sukumar recently visited the sets, watched portions of the film, and appreciated its vision and content.

Every promotional asset released so far has struck a chord with audiences. From Ram Charan’s striking dual looks — first as a rugged village cricketer and then as the fierce Peddi Pehlwan — the film has impressed fans with its scale and intensity.

The music has further amplified the hype. Peddi will be released in North India by Jio Studios. The film is set for a grand worldwide premiere on June 3, followed by its theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
