Actor Samantha is set to return to Telugu cinema in a lead role with Maa Inti Bangaram. The film is directed by Nandini Reddy, with Samantha also backing the project under her banner, Tralala Moving Pictures. Her husband Raj Nidimoru is co-producing the film alongside Himank Duvvuru.
The film was initially scheduled to release on May 15, but the makers have now officially postponed it to June 19.
In a statement, the team revealed that the decision was taken to avoid a clash with the IPL season. “Tralala Moving Pictures has announced that its upcoming production Maa Inti Bangaram, starring Samantha, will now release worldwide on June 19, 2026, moving from its previously announced date of May 15. The decision was made to avoid a clash with the IPL season,” the statement read.
The makers have already kickstarted promotions, with the song 'Thassadiya' topping the charts. Samantha’s energetic dance in the song has gone viral across social media, with numerous reels being created around it.
Samantha has also been actively promoting the film through interviews, including a fun interaction with actor Vennela Kishore. Notably, she has performed action sequences in the film for the first time without using a body double.
The teaser and trailer have generated good buzz, hinting that the film blends action elements with strong family emotions.
