Young actor Ashish, nephew of Dil Raju and son of Shirish, is gearing up for his next film DeThadi. After appearing in Rowdy Boys and Love Me, he took a brief break and is now fully focused on this project. The makers unveiled the film’s first glimpse on Tuesday. The film marks the directorial debut of Aditya Rao Gangasani, with Prasanna Kumar Bezawada handling the screenplay, dialogues, and creative supervision.

Backed by producers Dil Raju and Shirish, DeThadi is set against the vibrant backdrop of Hyderabad. The glimpse offers a lively introduction to the protagonist Ghannu Bhai, a street-drum artist known for energising celebrations across Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Ghannu Bhai played by Ashish and his troupe are admired for their stamina, carrying heavy drums and performing tirelessly for hours. Beneath the celebratory beats, the glimpse subtly highlights the character’s dignity and self-respect.

Ashish appears in a rugged new avatar, sporting an unkempt beard that suits the role. His body language, raw attitude, and effortless use of the Hyderabadi slang add authenticity and mass appeal to the character. The glimpse showcases him immersing himself completely into the role.

The creative influence of Prasanna Kumar Bezawada is evident throughout, especially in the writing and characterisation. The visuals are vibrant and energetic, while music director Junaid Kumar enhances the mood with powerful, drum-driven beats.

The glimpse was unveiled in a grand manner, with over 500 street drummers performing live, creating an electrifying atmosphere and setting the tone for this culturally rooted drama.
