As we reported earlier, newlyweds Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna visited their ancestral village, Thummannapet, in the Nagar Kurnool district. On Monday, the couple performed the Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham in the village temple and spent time interacting with the locals.

Villagers gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the couple and welcomed them warmly. The visit turned into a festive occasion, with the entire village celebrating their presence. Reportedly, Vijay’s family has recently built a new house in the village, adding emotional significance to the ceremony.

It has been a hectic few days for the couple ever since their wedding in Udaipur on February 26. Soon after the ceremony, they travelled to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They later returned to Hyderabad to attend the Pelli Koduku ceremony of Allu Sirish.

Rashmika also met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to personally invite him to their wedding reception, scheduled for March 4.

Following their wedding, Vijay and Rashmika also participated in charitable activities, serving food at several places, and offered prayers at a TTD temple in Hyderabad. Their post-wedding days seem to be filled with travel, temple visits, and meeting well-wishers.

The March 4 reception will be strictly by invitation only. On the advice of the police, the family has decided to follow strict security protocols, as several prominent politicians — including the Chief Minister and ministers— as well as film celebrities are expected to attend. Fans have been requested to cooperate and adhere to safety guidelines.
