A day prior to the release of Maa Inti Bangaram, Samantha sat down with her fans for an 'Ask Samantha' session with her fans on X. During the interaction, amidst the myriad of questions, she disclosed that one particular trait of the character she portrays in the film that made her fall in love with it.

Responding to a question from a user, she said it was the "resilience" of the character she portrayed in the film that made her fall absolutely in love with it.

Interestingly, Samantha also went on to name Swarna (her character in Maa Inti Bangaram) as being the closest to the real Samantha among all the characters she had played in Telugu films.

Earlier, director BV Nandini Reddy drew comparisons with Rajinikanth's Baasha, and explained that Maa Inti Bangaram's story revolves around a character with a hidden past and the gradual unveiling of that character's journey, rather than functioning as a conventional spy film. She also emphasised that her character is layered and has soul, emotion and vulnerability.

Besides Samantha and Gulshan Devaiah, Maa Inti Bangaram also stars Diganth Manchale, and Gauthami in key roles. The film follows Swarna (Samantha), a newlywed who tries to fit into her husband’s traditional rural family. While pretending to be a typical housewife, she secretly hides a violent past as an assassin. When a ruthless criminal from her former life resurfaces, she must protect the family that previously doubted her.

The film is backed by Samantha under Tralala Moving Pictures. Her husband Raj Nidimoru is co-producing the film alongside Himank Duvvuru. It has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
