Veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao's recently released Telugu film Sing Geetham is all set to hit theatres in Tamil as well. Earlier this Friday, producer Vyjayanthi Movies made the announcement, writing, "Tamil Nadu, it's your turn to experience Sing Geetham. All set for a Grand Tamil Nadu release through AGS Cinemas." While the production banner is yet to announce a release date for Sing Geetham in Tamil, they revealed that it will hit theatres in the state soon.

The film explores themes of environmental destruction, the significance of safeguarding nature, and greed. It stars Ahilya Bamroo, Ayaan, Shalini Kondepudi, Siva Narayana, Banerjee, and Wamcee, among others. The writers of the film comprise: Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, Gautami Challagulla, Shashank Chintalpudi and Rathna Sreekar, Nanda Kishore Emani, and Rahul V Rajeshwar.

The Tamil audience is quite familiar with Singeetham Srinivasa Rao's cinema. In the language, his directorial credits include but are not limited to Raja Paarvai (1981), Apoorva Sagodharargal (1989), Michael Madana Kama Rajan (1990), Magalir Mattum (1994), and Mumbai Xpress (2005). Kamal Haasan, one of the actors to star in many of his films, recently graced a promotional event and expressed his admiration for the filmmaker. The legendary actor said that he wished he had produced the film through his banner, Raaj Kamal Films International.

Coming back to Singeetham Srinivasa Rao's latest film, it has received mostly positive reviews from critics. In our review, Suresh Kavirayani wrote, "More than just an experimental film, Sing Geetham carries an important message. The beauty lies in how naturally the message is woven into the narrative without becoming preachy. This ability to blend entertainment and meaning is what keeps Singeetham's storytelling timeless... At an age when most people would choose retirement, he has delivered a film that feels innovative and relevant."
