Ram Charan-starrer Peddi hit the screens on June 5, with premiere shows held a day earlier. While the film has opened to mixed reviews, with some appreciating its scale and performances and others feeling it is too lengthy and lacks emotional depth, the makers are celebrating its strong box-office performance.

Addressing the media on Friday evening, the producers stated that Peddi has recorded the biggest opening of Ram Charan's career.

"Peddi is performing exceptionally well and has grossed over Rs 135 crore worldwide on its opening day. Everyone who has watched the film is appreciating it and calling it a wonderful movie. This is truly a grand cinematic experience. I request everyone to watch the film with their families in theatres. This is undoubtedly the best opening in Ram Charan garu's career, and the numbers reflect that," said producer Venkata Satish Kilaru.

Mythri Movie Makers producer Ravi Shankar, who is associated with the film, made an interesting remark during the press meet. "A friend from Guntur sent me a message saying that Peddi's noon-show revenue on the second day was 30 percent higher than that of a big film released last year. Peddi is performing very strongly in Andhra Pradesh and is also doing well in Telangana," he said.

However, Ravi Shankar did not reveal which film he was referring to, leaving fans and industry observers guessing. His comment has since sparked curiosity across social media.

Speaking about the film's performance, Ravi Shankar said, "Peddi, the film we had all been eagerly waiting for, has finally arrived. As expected, it has created a cyclone at the box office. The response to the premiere shows was extraordinary. Including the premiere collections, the film has recorded the highest opening of Ram Charan garu's career. Positive reports are coming in from all centres. The same momentum is visible across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and we expect even bigger collections over the weekend."

He further expressed confidence about the film's future box-office prospects. "Next week, we may return with numbers that could surprise even us. Buchi Babu's story has been elevated by Ram Charan garu's extraordinary performance. Everyone who watches the film is talking about his acting. His performance is truly unparalleled. This is a unique sports drama featuring multiple sports backdrops, something Telugu cinema has not explored before," Ravi Shankar added.

According to him, the film also carries a strong inspirational message, particularly for children. "We encourage families to watch the film together in theatres. We are delighted with the collections and believe the film will achieve even greater success in the coming days," he said.

Director Buchi Babu Sana also expressed his happiness over the audience response. "Since the film's release, my phone hasn't stopped ringing. A similar thing happened during Uppena, but the response to Peddi is ten times bigger. People are calling me from everywhere and saying they felt inspired after watching the film. I thank the audience for showering so much love on Peddi," said Buchi Babu. Mythri Movie Distributors representative Sasi also attended the press meet.
