Varun Tej is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Korean Kanakaraju, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. Produced by UV Creations in association with First Frame Entertainment, the horror-comedy is scheduled to hit the screens on August 7. After wrapping up the film's shoot, Varun Tej began training for his next film, Bhari, during which he suffered a leg injury.

After taking rest for nearly three months, the actor made his first public appearance at the 'Raasa Gummadi' song launch event held in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, as part of the film's promotions.

As anticipation continues to build around Korean Kanakaraju, Varun Tej is set to entertain audiences in a never-seen-before avatar. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the horror-comedy blends supernatural elements with humour, promising a refreshing theatrical experience.

"We chose to unveil the second song in Anantapur because this is where we began shooting Korean Kanakaraju," said Varun Tej at the event.

"This is the first time the song is being played for the audience. While shooting it, I kept my Pedananna (Chiranjeevi) in mind and tried to match his energy in dance. I would have loved to dance here as well, but my leg hasn't fully recovered yet," he added.

The actor also recalled the love he received from the people of Anantapur during the film's shoot. "For the last three months, I haven't stepped out of my house because of my leg injury. I hope you all enjoy Korean Kanakaraju and encourage the film," he said.

The film is currently in the final stages of post-production, and its promotional content has generated impressive buzz. The title glimpse, entertaining teaser and the chartbuster first single Kamsamnida have all received a positive response.

The makers have now unveiled the second single, 'Raasa Gummadi', which offers a complete contrast to the Korean-inspired flavour of the first song. Composed by S Thaman, the track is rooted in Telugu folk tradition, blending energetic beats, rustic instrumentation and festive vibes.

Singer Nalgonda Gaddar brings the song to life with his earthy vocals, while Kasarla Shyam's lyrics capture the spirit of a vibrant village festival. Daksha Nagarkar features opposite Varun Tej in the special song, which is expected to be one of the film's major highlights.

Ritika Nayak plays the female lead opposite Varun Tej, while Satya appears in a key entertaining role. The film's technical crew includes S Thaman as the music composer, Manojh Reddy Katasani as the cinematographer, and Satyaa G as the editor.

Korean Kanakaraju is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 7.
