Recently, we reported about Venkatesh and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram starring in the lead roles of a film directed by Anil Ravipudi. Also part of the cast are actors Krithi Shetty and Keerthy Suresh. Tentatively titled Venky Anil 5 and NKRAR2, the film has commenced production with a pooja ceremony. Reportedly, the film stars Venkatesh and Keerthy Suresh as a pair, alongside Krithi Shetty who portrays Kalyan Ram's romantic partner.

It is produced by Sahu Garapati of Shine Screens, with Smt Archana and Suresh Productions onboard as presenters. Zee Studios is also part of the project, which is described as a high-value commercial entertainer. The makers are yet to reveal any specific details about the plot.

Meanwhile, there has been some speculation about whether it is a remake of Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, directed by Premalu fame Vipin Das and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph.

What has triggered the speculation is the presence of multiple stars in the project. A group photograph from the pooja function featuring the lead actors with the director has been juxtaposed with a poster from the film marriage comedy Guruvayoorambala Nadayil. Perhaps the presence of director Anil Ravipudi, who is popular for his entertainers catered to family audiences, also played a part in fuelling the speculation.

Now, Keerthy Suresh has taken it upon herself to clear the rumour. In a post speculating about the project in relation to the aforesaid Malayalam comedy, the actor dismissively wrote, "No, it's not!!," thus effectively ending the rumour.

Meanwhile, industry sources reveal that director Anil is moulding the film to be a full-on commercial entertainer with comedy, emotional beats, and characters that audiences can relate to.

On the technical front, GV Prakash is attached to the film as its music composer.
