Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, is a reunion. The actor-politician reunites with his Gabbar Singh (2012) director Harish Shankar for the flick.
Ahead of the film’s release, the makers unveiled the second single from the soundtrack, 'Aura of Ustaad'. The song captures his signature body language, commanding presence, and the magnetic pull he holds over his fans.
Speaking at the song launch, Harish Shankar said, “I don’t know at what auspicious moment we titled this song 'Aura of Ustaad', but today I can see that aura in everyone present here. The dialogue Nenu Meda Muttukunte, Toda Kottinatte (If I touch my neck, it’s as impactful as striking my thigh) appears in a crucial scene in the film. For over two decades, Pawan Kalyan garu has carried this unique mannerism. I felt it deserved to be expressed in words — and that thought gave birth to this song.”
He further added, “For an aura like this, we needed an Oscar-worthy pen. We immediately approached Chandrabose garu, and surprisingly, the song was completed within just eight hours.”
Clarifying that the song goes beyond admiration, Harish Shankar said, “This is not just a fanboy song — it comes from a deep understanding of Pawan Kalyan garu. Every line reminds you of him. If Devi Sri Prasad performed a musical coronation, Chandrabose garu delivered a literary anointment.”
The director also revealed that the film offers everything fans expect from the star. “There were days when Pawan Kalyan garu worked nearly 18 hours continuously for this film. Our producers stood firmly by us, supporting the project beyond expectations,” he said.
Music director Devi Sri Prasad and lyricist Chandrabose also attended the event and spoke highly about Pawan Kalyan’s dedication and screen presence. The event concluded on an emotional and celebratory note, with the team expressing strong confidence in both the song and the film.
Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on March 26.
