A few days ago, Sree Vishnu confirmed that the release clash between his two films had been resolved, ensuring a comfortable gap between them. While Vishnu Vinyasam is all set to hit the screens on February 28, his other film Mrithyunjay will no longer release on February 27, as initially planned.
The makers have now officially announced that Mrithyunjay will arrive in theatres on March 6. With this decision, Sree Vishnu can breathe easy, as his two films will no longer release back-to-back. Earlier, both films were scheduled just a day apart, raising concerns over promotions and box-office impact.
Announcing the new date, the team shared a statement that read: “The date of arrival may change… but not the impact… Mrithyunjay hitting cinemas from 06.03.2026.”
Directed by Hussain Sha Kiran, Mrithyunjay is an investigative drama that features Reba Monica John in the role of a cop and as Sree Vishnu’s love interest. The film is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati.
Meanwhile, Vishnu Vinyasam is directed by debutant Yadunaath Maruthi Rao and produced by Sumanth Naidu G. Nayana Sarika plays the female lead and was previously seen in KA and Aay.
