Rajeev Kanakala, who has become a familiar presence in films and OTT projects, is set to be seen in another prominent role in the upcoming Telugu web series D/o Prasad Rao Kanabadutaledhu. The series is scheduled to stream directly on ZEE5 from February 27.

Ahead of its release, the makers unveiled the trailer, which is gripping, powerful, and packed with tension. Directed by Krishna Poluru and produced by KV Sri Ram under the South India Screens banner, the Telugu original series blends strong emotional drama with layered investigative elements.

The trailer opens on an intimate and personal note, showcasing the warmth of a close-knit father–daughter bond. The mood quickly shifts to anxiety and uncertainty when Swathi suddenly goes missing. Rajeev Kanakala plays Prasad Rao, a devoted father whose life is turned upside down by his daughter’s disappearance.

Vasanthika, known for 90s: A Middle Class Biopic, plays Swathi, whose presence continues to linger throughout the narrative even after she goes missing. Udaya Bhanu, essaying the role of investigation officer Rebecca Joseph, brings authority and emotional intensity to the case.

A striking moment in the trailer hints that while several clues appear to be in plain sight, a crucial detail is being overlooked — suggesting unexpected twists and deeper revelations as the story unfolds. The trailer effectively establishes the series as a tense and emotionally driven crime thriller.

Actors Gayatri Bhargavi and Hima Bindu add depth to the emotional and investigative layers surrounding the central conflict, while Sri Ram Venkat appears in a key role that further complicates the narrative.

The series features a gripping background score by Sri Ram Maddury, sharp editing by Chandrashekar GV, and effective cinematography by Ram K Mahesh.

Overall, the trailer sets the right expectations, promising a taut crime thriller driven by emotion, suspense, and strong performances.
