On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, February 14, leading production house Sithara Entertainments unveiled the title and first glimpse of its upcoming film. Director Sailesh Kolanu, known for the HIT franchise, is set to explore a new genre with this romantic entertainer titled Emo Emo Idi. The film stars Roshan Meka and Preity Mukhundhan as the lead pair.

After Champion, in which Roshan played the lead in a period drama, the actor has now signed on for this breezy romantic film. Preity Mukhundhan, who made her debut with the mythological film Kannappa opposite Vishnu Manchu, is paired opposite Roshan in Emo Emo Idi.

The title itself instantly evokes light-hearted romantic vibes. The announcement glimpse opens with a fun conversation between a mother and son, touching upon Gen Z relationship terminologies and the humorous chaos of modern marriages. The female lead is introduced listening to a classic song from her playlist, subtly establishing her emotional depth and romantic sensibility.

With Emo Emo Idi, Sailesh Kolanu steps away from intense investigative thrillers and enters the rom-com space for the first time. Known for his gripping narratives and action-packed storytelling, the director now promises a heartwarming, breezy, laid-back and goofy entertainer filled with love, laughter and freshness.

Roshan Meka will be seen as Abhay, a charming boy-next-door navigating love in today’s Gen Z world. Following his debut in Pelli Sandadi and then the recently released Champion, this film marks another interesting shift in his career.

Preity Mukhundhan plays Apurva, and her vibrant presence in the glimpse has already drawn attention. With her refreshing screen appeal, she is expected to connect well with Telugu audiences.

Adding to the film’s charm is the music by Hesham Abdul Wahab, whose soulful compositions have made him one of the most sought-after composers in recent times. The film’s visuals are handled by cinematographer Vamsi Patchipulusu, while Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya are producing the project.

The shoot for Emo Emo Idi will begin soon, with more updates expected in the coming days.
