Sree Vishnu has recently shifted his focus towards entertainment-driven films. After experimenting with a few offbeat projects, he tasted massive success with Samajavaragamana, a laugh riot that struck a strong chord with audiences. Following that blockbuster, the actor seems keen to continue exploring engaging and entertaining genres.
He is now headlining an investigative thriller titled Mrithyunjay, directed by Hussain Sha Kiran. The film is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati under the banners of Lightbox Media and Picture Perfect Entertainment, with Ramya Gunnam presenting it. Reba John plays the female lead opposite Sree Vishnu, reuniting with him after Samajavaragamana.
The makers recently announced the film’s release date along with a striking poster. Mrithyunjay is set to hit the big screens on February 27. In the poster, Sree Vishnu is seen standing on a road covered with newspapers, hinting at the film’s theme.
This Sree Vishnu-style thriller promises to be another intriguing entertainer. On the technical front, cinematography is handled by Vidhya Sagar, while Kaala Bhairava composes the music. Sreekar Prasad takes care of editing, and Manisha A. Dutt is in charge of production design.
