#Single, the upcoming Sree Vishnu starrer romantic comedy, marks the Telugu debut for Ivana, who has primarily worked in Tamil movies so far. She is not a new face for Telugu audience. The actor, with her performance in Love Today, earned a lot of fans in Telugu speaking states. Ivana, however, mentions how there was more of a Tamil vibe on the sets of #Single as well. She notes, “My director Caarthick Raju is Tamil. Even most of the crew members, including the direction department was natively Tamil. Vennela Kishore sir also speaks Tamil. So honestly, I never really felt out of place while shooting for #Single.”

Ivana spoke about how her love for dancing was a factor as well, in her signing #Single. She adds, “I had learnt Bharatanatyam earlier. After learning that my character Harini is a dancer, I went back to my dance classes and practiced. The actor mentions that she related to Harini on other levels as well. “My character is very jovial and carefree. She has a lot of emotional attachment to her family. If she likes someone, she is ready to do anything for them. A part of me is like Harini,” Ivana adds with a smile.

Talking about her co-star Sree Vishnu, Ivana reveals the adventurous journey she had with him on the sets of #Single. “Sree Vishnu is slightly introverted, and doesn’t speak much. However, once the camera rolls, it’s very hard to keep up with him — he speaks very fast. At first, I wouldn’t understand anything. Also, he would often rewrite and give me dialogues on the spot, which made it a particularly challenging experience for me. I would then write those lines in Malayalam so that I get the pronunciation right. That was a memorable experience.”

Talking about the fame and goodwill Love Today brought to her in Telugu-speaking states, Ivana says, “It was an exciting factor to see the audience calling me by Bujji Kanna, that character's name. As an actor, when the audience accepts you and remembers you for a character, it’s a special feeling,” she concludes.
