Another small film, Laggam Time, is gearing up for a theatrical release on February 6. Rajesh Meru and Navya Chityala play the lead pair, while Prajoth K Vennam has directed the film. K Himabindu has produced it under the banner of 20th Century Entertainments. The trailer was unveiled recently.

Speaking on the occasion, lead actor Rajesh Meru said, “Before Laggam Time, most of the stories I listened to were violent. But the moment I heard this story, I knew I wanted to be part of it. We worked very hard on this film, and I’m confident it will entertain everyone. I request audiences to watch and support our film when it releases on February 6.”

Producer K Himabindu said small films are not receiving adequate support due to the growing trend of re-releases. “We produced Laggam Time with great difficulty and at considerable expense. We genuinely hope audiences will watch our film and tell us honestly whether they liked it or not. However, because of the re-release trend, small producers like me and films like ours are not getting the support and visibility they deserve,” she said.

She further pointed out that the situation becomes even tougher when re-released films occupy Friday and weekend slots. “Weekends are crucial for small films like ours. When re-releases take up these prime days, it becomes very difficult for new films to survive. I hope people think about this issue. I can confidently say that audiences will come out of the theatre laughing wholeheartedly after watching Laggam Time,” Himabindu added.

Director Prajoth K Vennam said the entire team put in extra effort as the film was made by newcomers. “When a film is made completely by newcomers, we have to be very careful at every stage. We made sure there were no mistakes. I thank my lead actors Rajesh and Navya, producer Himabindu, Nellore Sudarshan, and the entire team for supporting me throughout this journey. Laggam Time will appeal to audiences from all sections and will be appreciated by everyone,” he said.
