Varun Tej’s latest film Korean Kanakaraju was released on Friday and received mixed reviews. Ritika Nayak played the female lead, while comedian Satya played a key role in it. Merlapaka Gandhi directed the film, while Rajeev Reddy, along with UV Creations, produced this horror comedy. Varun Tej did extensive promotions for the film despite his leg injury. He toured a few cities and also gave interviews to several YouTube channels. He didn't want to leave anything to chance and promoted Korean Kanakaraju like never before in his career.

In one of his interactions with the media, Varun Tej confirmed that he is going to share screen space with his father Nagababu in his upcoming film Bhari. “Yes, many people keep asking me about sharing screen space with my father, and here is the good news. In my upcoming film Bhari, I am going to share screen space with my father. It is really nice that we are playing a real-life father and son in reel life too,” said Varun Tej.

He added that he got a chance to do it in the initial days of his career. “Actually, we were both supposed to share screen space in my second film Kanche, but it didn’t happen. We both wanted to do it in a strong way in the film, not just like that we play as father and son. We wanted that opportunity to come in a proper way, and that has now happened with my upcoming film Bhari. It is definitely very exciting for me,” said Varun Tej.

The film Bhari was launched in a big way, with his uncle and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan attending the launch a few months back. Directed by Yadhu Vamsee of Committee Kurrallu fame, the film is produced by Varun Tej’s sister Niharika Konidela. It is a period drama set against the backdrop of volleyball.

During one of the training sessions for the film, Varun Tej injured his leg while playing volleyball and later underwent surgery. He is now recovering from the injury and came out for the promotions of Korean Kanakaraju. Bhari was also supposed to release during Sankranthi, but because of Varun Tej’s injury, the film is likely to be postponed to another date. “It takes two to three months to come back into action,” said Varun Tej at another promotional event.

So, once he fully recovers from his leg injury, Varun Tej will start shooting for Bhari along with his father Nagababu.
