Director Ritesh Rana, who earlier helmed Mathu Vadalara and its sequel Mathu Vadalara 2 — both successful films — has once again teamed up with comedian-actor Satya for their upcoming film Jetlee. He also directed Happy Birthday, and Satya has been a common factor in all his films. This time, the film also features comedian Vennela Kishore in a key role.

The film is being presented by Mythri Movie Makers, while Chiranjeevi (Cherry) is producing it under the Clap Entertainment banner. Miss Universe India Rhea Singha plays the female lead, marking her acting debut with this comic entertainer.

The makers had earlier released posters, a teaser, and songs from the film, all of which received a positive response. Now, they have officially announced that Jetlee will hit the screens on May 1.

Although set against an action backdrop, the film promises a humorous take on action, with both Satya and Vennela Kishore leading the narrative. The action sequences are said to be choreographed with a comic touch, adding to the film’s appeal.

Kala Bhairava is composing the music, while Suresh Sarangam handles cinematography. Editing is by Karthik Srinivas, and production design is by Narni Sreenivas.
