Jabardasth famed comedian turned big-screen actor Sudheer Anand, popularly known as Sudigaali Sudheer, is back in action, and this time, it’s with a mythological themed film. The project has been titled Hai Lesso, unveiled on Monday with a launch ceremony.

Directed by debutant Prasanna Kumar Kota and produced by popular PR turned producer Siva Cherry and Ravikiran under the Vajra Varahi Cinemas banner, Hai Lesso aims to carve its place as a gripping rural drama. The title is derived from a colloquial farming expression. The first-look poster features a ritual, sacrificial offerings, and a blood-soaked sword while Sudheer appears to take on the role of a female deity with only his feet shown.

During the muhurtham ceremony, actor Nikhil unveiled the title, Bunny Vasu handed over the script, while directors Vassishta, Chandoo Mondeti, and Meher Ramesh powered the camera. Veteran VV Vinayak clapped the first shot, which was directed by Prasanna Kumar himself.

Shivaji, fresh off his acclaimed turn in Court, steps into the role of another antagonist, while Natasha Singh and Naksha Saran are the female leads. Akshara Gowda, Motta Rajendran, Getup Srinu, and Bevara Duhitha Saranya round out the ensemble.

On the technical front, Hai Lesso has Anudeep Dev composing the music and Sujatha Siddarth behind the camera. With plans for a multilingual release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, the makers are eyeing a wide release.
